Vince Carter

Vince Carter’s professional accomplishments as an eight-time NBA All-Star and an Olympic Gold-Medal winner are widely described as “Half Man, Half Amazing” and have had a transformational global impact. Still, it is his endeavors off-the-court that best exemplify his leadership and character.

Vince comes from a family of schoolteachers, and his Embassy of Hope Foundation assists children and their families through education. In addition to his significant contributions to our nation’s public-school systems, Vince has helped build treatment facilities for families suffering from alcohol and drug addiction.

For his philanthropy, he received the Florida Governor’s Points of Light award and was recognized as Child Advocate of the Year by the Children’s Home Society.
